Today’s lesson is about making the most of your business skills in 2009. In times of economic trouble and recession business skills have never been more important. It is a question of survival of the fittest. Only companies with the necessary infrastructure and business model will survive in the current economic climate. Only people with the necessary skills will be able to make the most of whatever chances and opportunities come their way. With rising unemployment and competition for jobs the necessary skills for the modern business world have never been more important.

In these times of economic crisis there are many opportunities to put your business skills to use. With many companies looking to cut costs and reduce the size of their workforces in 2009 can you see new ways of saving money, or of developing new markets? With the fall in rents and prices of commercial property new opportunities become available can you spot the gap in the market?

Now more than ever good business skills are essential for the health of businesses and the economy. Companies with a poor business model are likely to go bust while those that are well led will be able to come out of the recession fitter and stronger than before.
